Jude Pullen and I were invited by Charles Finch to speak about the Big Life Fix at the inaugural ‘Power of Film and Moving Image‘ event organised by How To Academy at the Royal Institution in London. It was amazing to share a stage with legends like Christine Amanpour, John Simpson, Stephen Bayley and Germane Greer, as well as people with so much to say like Fatima Bhutto, Hassan Akkad and Elif Shafik. We talked about how the program constructed empathy and about the difference between designing for one person and doing traditional industrial design.
